CS&PF Rule Changes following AGM

Includes a change to the solo qualifying swim rule

At the CS&PF AGM on 3 March 2018, 4 motions were discussed and voted on as per the AGM agenda.

Click here to download AGM Motions and Committee Nominations.

All the motions were passed (with one requiring rewording).

The CS&PF rules and forms have been updated to reflect the agreed upon changes.

The changes include a change to the solo assessment swim requirements. Previosuly, the assessment swim could take place within 30 months prior to the 1st June in the year of application. This has been changed to 18 months. This is inline with the existing relay assessment swim requirements.

The new wording is as follows :

All swimmers taking part in a solo swim must complete a self assessment swim for at least 6 hours in open water at a temperature of no more tha 61F/16C and which is carried out specifically for a purpose or as an organised event which the committee considers (in its discretion) to be a suitable alternative, in either case, which has taken place no more than 18 calendar months prior to the 1st June in the year of the application.
