A perfect farewell for Chris

Many family and friends attended Chris Bryant's funeral in Kent

A large number of Chris Bryant's friends, family and colleagues gathered to celebrate his life at his funeral in Kent.  The service was a Humanist one, where members of the congregation were invited to share a poem, prayer or their personal recollections of Chris.  It was remarkably moving; with sadness, humour and joy all mixed in together.

After the service everyone moved on to Chris's local 'boozer' in Sandgate, where he was well known and very much loved.  A fine spread was put on for everyone, and more stories and memories about Chris were shared.

The whole day was the most perfect farewell one could imagine for Chris, with him even looking down on us and producing the most beautiful weather, and the flattest of sea (see photo above of the beach at Sandgate).

Chris will be very much missed by all of us.
