Several Channel swimmers feature in the Olympic Torch relay when it went through Dover.

As the Olympic Torch relay made it to Dover, a number of Channel swimmers were torch bearers:

Sam Jones:  CS&PF Solo swimmer and seasoned observer

Katty Batts:  Kathy has more than a dozen relays under her costume, and has a solo booked with the CS&PF this September

Mike Jennings:  Mike swam the Channel solo twice in the 1960's.  He's swimming in a relay (One Foot in the Wave) this Summer with the CS&PF.

Joe Smith:  Former record holder for Oldest Brit to swim the Channel solo.
