Screenings of Captain Webb film

The biopic of our hero will be finally screened in UK cinemas

As many Channel swimmers are already aware, a biopic of Captain Matthew Webb and his famous swim was made around a year ago; recently we heard reports of it being shown in US and on airline flights, but not in UK.

We are pleased to confirm the following venues and dates for cinema screenings of the movie produced by among others James Salter, solo Channel swimmer in 2009:

  • Curzon, Bloomsbury, London from 14-21 August, twice a day
  • ICA, London for three days
  • Silver Screen Cinema, Dover, Friday 25 Sept at 18.20 and again on Saturday 26, finally on Sunday 27 Sept at 16.00.
Please report if you hear of upcoming screenings in your area and we will update this announcement.
