Channel Swimming & Piloting Federation "Nothing great is easy", Captain Matthew Webb

11 May 2018CS&PF 2018 Observer Meeting

Training session for observers on Sunday June 3 at 2pm in the Royal Cinque Ports Yacht Club in Dover.

The CS&PF are holding an Observer Training Session for CS&PF observers (and those who are interested in registering) on Sunday June 3 at 2pm in the Royal Cinque Ports Yacht Club in Dover.

If you are swimming in Dover Harbour, your training for the day should be finished by then  so please come join us afterwards if you are planning to observe in 2018 - it's a great way to get a real understanding of how a swim works.

There are some rule changes this year which we will run through.

We will also give advise about relay changeovers, writing the observer reports, recording start/finish times, timing the swims and texting information for the website at the start and finish of swims.

The Royal Cinque Ports Yacht Club is just at the back of the Channel swimmers beach in Dover.

Pilots are also invited to attend. This is a great opportunity for pilots to meet and talk to the observers.

If you are planning to attend please email observer.liaison@cspf.co.uk to ensure we have sufficient seating and tea & coffee.

See you there!
