Admiralty Chart Kit

You can now make your own swim charts using our Admiralty Chart Kit

For all swimmers who are interested in having an official Admiratly chart with their swim track - we have a perfect solution: our new DIY Chart Kit. It will enable you to accurately plot your swim track on the Admiralty Chart 1892 (Dover Strait - Western Part) which is available for delivery from many online shops.

To use, first buy an Admiralty chart: it costs aroung £25 / $45 and takes few days to deliver by post. Next, download our Chart Kit PDF from your public swim page: the link to it is on all CS&PF office correspondence to solo swimmers / relay captains. You can see a sample Chart Kit PDF here.

Once you have both, print two copies of the Chart Kit PDF; cut the grids from one copy and use to plot your track. Use the other copy to identify track points / times. The Chart Kit also includes Sandettie weather and Sun / Moon / Dover tides data collected during the swim hours.

Optional suggestions:

  • Use the Sandettie data table and "Tides, Sun & Moon" table to mark other data on the chart.
  • Get your swim team, crew, friends and family sign the chart for you.
  • If you are framing the chart, include your CS&PF swim certificate.
Please note that the Chart Kit is available only for swims ratified by the CS&PF office. For those who want a smaller version, Mike Oram, CS&PF Vice President, is still making them on A2 format for a small fee.
